Ashtanga & Hatha

This is our most rigorous class. Come and learn how to improve muscular strength, muscular endurance, deepen flexibility and tune into greater muscular balance. Ashtanga yoga is a more flowing yoga where you move from one standing, sitting, and then lying pose to another. Approximately 5 breathes are spent in each pose. The poses are quite challenging and will enhance your mental focus. The Hatha aspect of the class will slow down the poses and spend more time on opening up regions of the body, like the shoulder girdle. The breathing aspect of both styles of these practices will be emphasized. I recommend this class to those who wish to challenge themselves and improve athletic performance, increase overall physical strength and impress their friends at parties (kidding about this one--mostly!)
